Heather Loucks with a Reiki Master degree is responsible for the
Holistic Nursing Program. Her passion for flowers and green spaces is
evident throughout the facility; the Garden Room was created to house
her variety of plants. The room is an oasis for residents and families and a
favorite gathering spot for viewing the deer and wild turkeys that strut
through the beautiful grounds.
Reiki sessions serve as a compliment to traditional medical treatment.
Used wisely and in conjunction with conventional medicine, alternative
modalities help to alleviate stress, pain and anxiety, manage symptoms,
maintain strength and flexibility and promote a sense of well-being.
Holistic programs include Reiki, Yoga, Meditation and Aromatherapy and
many times are incorporated into Activities programming.
